Virtual Gala 2020: Supporting GREAT Teachers
Friday, October 9, 2020 at 7 p.m.
About Gala 2020
About the Project
On Friday, October 9, 2020, members of Lake Forest Academy's community will gather virtually to celebrate LFA’s outstanding faculty and to raise funds* for on-campus faculty housing. Four faculty apartments are under construction on the East side of Atlass Hall and are scheduled for faculty family occupancy in early 2021. The new housing will enhance the 24/7 presence of adults at LFA. On-campus housing is one of the keys to recruiting and retaining top-notch faculty at LFA. Residential faculty are the teachers, mentors, coaches and advisors that all students, both day and boarding, need and rely on at the Academy.
Thank you to LFA parents, alumni and alumni parents who committed more than $840,000 through our October 9 Virtual Gala program to help underwrite construction of four new faculty apartments in Atlass Hall. The $1.8 million project is part of the school’s efforts to enhance on-campus housing as part of efforts to attract and retain great faculty members who call the school home. LFA faculty and staff contributed more than $30,000 during the Virtual Gala. Their gifts were matched by Trustee Patrick and Christina Corsiglia P'15, '17, '20.
It’s not too late to support the faculty with your gift to the project. You can make your gift online here. To discuss a gift, contact Director of Parent Relations & Giving Leigh Ann Jacobson at 847-615-3238 or leighann.jacobson@lfanet.org.
