Invitation to Meet HOS Finalist Candidates

Dear LFA Parents,

Beginning Monday, May 7, LFA will host the three finalist candidates selected by the Search Team to visit campus and meet our community.

These three candidates are excellent educators with strong leadership backgrounds in their professional experiences. Their CVs and other background material have been posted on the LFA website in the "About Us" drop down under the tab "Head of School Search." In the meantime, let me provide the following summary introductions:

Elaine Griffin, Assistant Head of Upper School, University School of Milwaukee; Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Patrick Phillips, Assistant Head of School, Breck School; Golden Valley, Minnesota
Brian Salzer, Managing Director, John F. Kennedy School Berlin; Berlin, Germany

We wish to invite you to each of three sessions on campus in the Cressey Center at which the candidates will present themselves, their qualifications and how they would expect to become part of our school community and culture. Please come early as we anticipate the seating capacity of Cressey could well be tested by the strong interest in this opportunity. If you cannot attend in person, there is a link below that will provide you access to a livestream broadcast of the presentation or to a later video recording of it.

The candidates and times for their respective presentations are as follows:

Monday, May 7, 12 to 1:00 PM CDT – Cressey Auditorium – Brian Salzer
Tuesday, May 8, 12 to 1:00 PM CDT – Cressey Auditorium – Patrick Phillips
Wednesday, May 9, 12 to 1:00 PM CDT – Cressey Auditorium – Elaine Griffin

We urgently encourage you to attend these sessions (approximately one hour each), in person if you can, and remotely if you cannot. Each interaction between the candidate and our community is a chance for LFA to learn more about what sort of leader that candidate might be and for the candidate to get to know LFA, our community and our culture. We cannot overemphasize how important is your active and engaged participation in this process, nor can we overstate our appreciation for your contribution to the effort.
