Celebrations 2023
Class of 2023 Year-End Information
Lake Forest Academy’s Graduation is on the horizon and May 27 will be here sooner than we can imagine! We hope that this webpage can serve as a dedicated place for you to visit and also allow your family to make the necessary arrangements for a memorable celebration.
Your son or daughter has already been asked by the Dean of Students Office to check the spelling of his/her name for the diploma and to confirm his/her home city, state, and country for the graduation program. They have checked this information and necessary corrections have been made.
This page contains general graduation information, including: attire for the graduates, guest information, seating information, and other relevant pieces of information.
This page also contains a schedule for you to use as you make your travel arrangements so that you are aware of the events taking place that week leading up to May 27.
We have also provided the order forms from the companies providing photography and videography on that day. Please contact them directly to place your order.
If there are any further questions or concern, please do not hesitate to contact the Dean of Students Office. Jennifer Rundles can be reached via email at jennifer.rundles@lfanet.org or phone at 847-615-3248 and Maura Johansson can be reached via email at mjohansson@lfanet.org or phone at 847-615-4834.

Accommodations
For your convenience, a list of local hotels has been provided on the LFA website here.
Access to Formal Gardens
Graduation is in the Formal Gardens. In case of inclement weather, graduation will be held in a tented area of the Formal Gardens. If you have family members with physical challenges then we recommend that you drive around to the back of Reid Hall to drop off your passenger and then park your car. Handicapped parking is available in front of the Cressey Center for the Arts. If you believe that you may need a parking pass then please contact Maura Johansson.
Guests
Graduation is not a ticketed event. All parents and guests are invited to attend graduation and the dessert reception afterward at no charge.
Invitations
If you need an invitation for visa purposes then please contact Maura Johansson so that she can email you a letter.
Photography/Videography
Photography is provided by Stuart Rodgers. These photos are taken prior to the ceremony in the Formal Gardens.
Videography is provided by Zaker Video.
Information for photo and video orders will be available soon.
Seating
Graduates process out of Reid Hall and walk the length of the Formal Gardens, coming down the middle aisle in single file. The girls will exit Reid Hall from the northern doors (closest to the Marshall Field dorm) and the boys will process out of the southern doors (closest to Wood House). For the best photography opportunities, you may want to sit on the same side that your son or daughter will exit Reid Hall.
