Lake Forest Academy alumnae and author Rebecca Makkai ’95 recently released “I Have Some Questions for You” and her latest novel debuted at No. 3 on the New York Times Hardcover Fiction list.
“I Have Some Questions for You” has garnered interest from across the country with highly-acclaimed reviews in the New York Times, The New Yorker, Boston Globe, Los Angeles Times, San Francisco Chronicle, TIME, and NPR’s Weekend Edition.
Makkai was named a 2022 Guggenheim Fellow and one of Chicago Magazine's 50 most powerful women in 2020. She was a finalist for the 2019 Pulitzer Prize in Fiction for her novel, “The Great Believers,” and the 2018 National Book Award while also named one of the New York Times’ Top Ten Books of 2018. She was also inducted into the LFA Hall of Fame in September 2021 for her “Achievement in the Arts.”
