Noha Mahmoud joined Lake Forest Academy in the summer of 2024 as the Academic Office Manager. Noha was born and raised in Cairo, Egypt, where she earned her bachelor's degree in science. With over 15 years of experience working in various educational settings - from private and public schools to community education - Noha has worked with learners from elementary school to adulthood. Her most recent role was as Director of Program Development at the Boys and Girls Club of Lake County, where she designed curriculum and developed interactive programs for K-12 students. Noha has lived and worked in five countries - Egypt, Japan, Canada, Saudi Arabia, and the United States - and she is fluent in Arabic, English, and Japanese, and is learning Spanish.
Q: What attracted you to LFA? A: I was drawn to Lake Forest Academy because of its strong sense of community and dedication to academic excellence. LFA's commitment to innovation in education is inspiring, and I'm excited to contribute to that mission.
Q: What are you most excited about in your first year? A: As the Academic Office Manager, I'm eager to support both the Academic Dean and the Dean of Faculty, ensuring our teachers have the resources they need to thrive. I'm also excited to manage the PSAT and AP exams testing process, creating a smooth, stress-free experience for both students and staff.
Q: What's an LFA event or tradition you're looking forward to? A: I'm really looking forward to Multicultural Day! It's a wonderful opportunity for everyone to share their unique backgrounds and celebrate diversity.
Mitch Morgan-Dunham joined the College Counseling office in 2024. Originally from southwestern Michigan, Mitch was the first in his family to go to college and earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Valparaiso University. After graduation, Mitch worked for 11 years in college admissions and college counseling before making his way to Lake Forest Academy. In addition to college counseling, Mitch will serve as a coach for LFA's boys junior varsity volleyball team and a dorm parent in Warner House, where he lives with his husband, Keith, and their daughter, Ava.
Q: What attracted you to LFA? A: The community! I was drawn-in more and more after every interaction with members of the faculty, staff, and student body!
Q: Where's your favorite hang-out spot on campus so far? A: I have to say the new Athletic Center - what a wonderful time to be starting at LFA!
Q: What's an LFA event or tradition you're looking forward to? A: I'm really looking forward to the talent show as I've heard so many great things about it.
Anabel Nosek began working at Lake Forest Academy in July 2024 as an associate in the Advancement department. Anabel grew up in Rockford, Ill. before attending the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. She graduated with a bachelor's degree in English with a minor in journalism in 2021. After graduating, Anabel spent a year living in Barcelona, Spain, working as a au pair for a host family there while also studying Spanish full-time. She most recently spent two years as the Marketing Coordinator at Boylan Catholic High School in Rockford before making the move to Chicago and joining the LFA community.
Q: What attracted you to LFA? A: I love the culture here; it's such a welcoming environment for all who come through this school, whether they be students, family members, or staff, and I think that's a really special offering here.
Q: What are you most excited about in your first year? A: I can't wait to get to know better the people who make LFA what it is, as well as the rich history of the school as it continues to grow and innovate.
Q: Where's your favorite hang-out spot on campus so far? A: I love the Formal Gardens! Between the flowers, the fountain, and the Reid Hall backdrop, I think it's so beautiful and calm there.
