portraits of four new faculty members in the fall of 2022 part 2

Isaias Cairampoma was born and raised in Peru and is in his 17th year in education including his first year at LFA. Before LFA, he taught at Beacon Academy in Evanston, Sacred Heart Schools in Chicago, Chiaravalle Montessori School in Evanston, Instituto Cervantes of Chicago, and Language Stars. He holds a bachelor's degree in Spanish from Northeastern Illinois University and has earned a master's degree from Northeastern Illinois University in Arts in Latin-American Literature and Culture. In addition to teaching Spanish I and Spanish II, Isaias is also coaching boys and girls soccer and is a dorm parent in Atlass Hall where he lives with his family.

 

Leslie Gomez joined Lake Forest Academy in July as the Academic Office Manager and AP Coordinator after spending the last four years working in a hospital office setting near her hometown of Beach Park, Ill. where she currently resides with her dog. She graduated from DePaul University with a major in Psychology and is currently pursuing a M.A./Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology DePaul where she will study mental health psychopathology in children in grades nine through 12. At LFA, she also coaches girls junior varsity volleyball.

 

Jay McMullen joined LFA in the fall of 2021 as a member of the IT Services team. His focus is on providing critical level one support across the LFA community for devices, software and information services. A previous career in advertising took him from New York City to London where he spent a decade as a US citizen of the world. He and his wife live in Logan square with their cat Fiona Montgomery-Bird “Birdie.”

 

Keily Pacheco joined the College Counseling office in October. She previously worked as an Assistant Director of Admission and Coordinator for Multicultural Recruitment at Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster, Pa. where she obtained her bachelor's degree in Sociology. Previous to her time in college admission, Keily was a college advisor through the Pennsylvania College Advising Corps, a national cohort program that recruits recent college graduates and places them in local high schools to assist students with the college application process. She will be living on campus and is a dorm parent in Marshall Field.
