new admissions staff member Ines Morroni in Reid Hall

Ines Morroni joined Lake Forest Academy as the new Admission Office Manager this fall. She grew up in Italy, in a small town called Gualdo Tadino near Perugia in Umbria. Her family has been living in the area since the 1200’s but her spirit of adventure brought her to the United States after graduation. While she was sure education was her path, she decided to explore other areas of interest while in the U.S., studying and working as an estate planner and then as a futures trader at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

After enjoying a few years at home raising her own children, Ines decided to go back to her original career path and worked as an Italian teacher, both in Lake and Cook County schools, at the Italian Cultural Center in Stone Park and privately with adults and children. She found it rewarding to be able to share her knowledge and love of the Italian language and culture. Her most gratifying role has been being the mom of two amazing individuals, Marisa, a 2020 graduate of Northwestern University and currently a master’s student at Indiana University, and Julian, a freshman at High Point University in North Carolina. Ines comes to LFA from Deerpath Middle School where she worked as the Administrative Assistant for the past five years. Ines resides in Lake Bluff with her two dogs, Apollo and Orione.

What attracted you to LFA?
Being a Lake Forest and a Lake Bluff resident I am fully aware of the valuable impact LFA has in the local community and in the global arena. It is an honor to be a part of this school and a privilege to be in the amazing Admission Department!

What are you most looking forward to this year?
I am looking forward to getting to know our extraordinary students and staff, especially the Admission team. I understand my role in the Caxy Keys is very involved and cannot wait to dive right in!

Where is your favorite place in the world?
I have to say Italy! One can find beauty, culture, warmth, history, fashion, and great food anywhere in Italy. It is definitely my kind of place!

What do you like to do in your free time?
My favorite thing in life is to spend quality time with my children. We especially love traveling and discovering new places and new adventures, from ziplining to surfing, from lyric opera performances to heavy metal concerts. We have two dogs, Apollo and Orione who love going with us for long walks by the beach.
