In partnership with North Chicago Community Partners (NCCP), students, staff, and families from across the Lake Forest Academy community will provide over 2,500 essential food and hygiene items for neighbors. Several student leaders organized a House Cup competition with the Stuart Center to raise awareness and maximize donations. Leveraging their generosity and healthy competitive spirit, Lewis House came out on top, with over 1,150 items.

Additionally, two sections of the sophomore Health, Wellness & Community class took a field trip to NCCP’s Family Care Closet on Friday to learn more about food insecurity, stock the shelves with LFA’s donations, and prepare literacy gifts consisting of the activities that they designed and books that they collected for young children whose families attend the pantry.

“We are blown away by the support that the LFA community shows for students and families in North Chicago year after year. LFA donated thousands of our most frequently requested items. They will fly off the shelves and make a big difference this holiday season.”
