Pre-Law Society Guest Speaker with pre-law society student leaders

Lake Forest Academy’s Pre-Law Society hosted Elizabeth S. Duquette, Esq. as a guest speaker on November 17 in Reid Hall’s Little Theater. The student leaders of the Pre-Law Society are Madeline Cournoyer ’23 and Joie Smith ’23.

Ms. Duquette is a law professor at Northwestern University. She received her undergraduate degree from Stanford University and her Juris Doctor from the University of Southern California. In their address to the students, the attorneys spoke about their different career paths, the value of being flexible and pivoting in a career, the value of breaking for real-world work experience, and how the rigorous schedule they’re experiencing in high school, and will in college, prepared them for law school.
