LFA travel group poses with families on Summer Celebration Tour in China

Following this year’s graduation ceremonies, LFA was excited to welcome the return of the Summer Celebration Tour. Chris and Maggie Tennyson P’27, along with Andrew Poska and Adam Gerber P’21, ’24, traveled to Asia for the annual event, which hasn’t been held since before the COVID-19 pandemic.

The group started with a visit to Vancouver, Canada before stops in Seoul, Ho Chi Minh City, Shenzhen, Shanghai and Beijing. While in each city, the group met with past, current, and future students and families, and each stop featured presentations which gave students the opportunity to speak about their student life experiences at LFA and why they take pride in being a Caxy. Students and their families also had the chance to show the group around their cities and share their cultural heritage. This tour and the personal connections it creates and fosters allows the Academy to continue to expand its global reach. Over 250 people attended the receptions during the stops in Korea, Vietnam, and China. This year also marks the first year the tour has included a stop in Vietnam.

In speaking of the event, Head of School Chris Tennyson said, “Ultimately, we want to be able to visit our families, thank them for trusting their children to us, and thank them for their support.”
