Dear Members of the Lake Forest Academy Community,

Lake Forest Academy is pleased to announce that more than $1.4 million has been secured in cash and pledges for the Academy’s new Health Center to be constructed on campus in re-purposed space in New Hall. We are deeply grateful to parents, alumni, alumni parents, faculty and staff who have generously contributed to the Health Center project.

LFA plans to relocate the Health Center from its current location in Reid Hall to this new, 4,500 square foot space in the former Hutchinson Commons, affectionately known as “Hutch.” The new Health Center will feature exam rooms, space for overnight stays, a laboratory, a group gathering room and an outdoor wellness garden. This capital project unites physical and psychological health services at LFA. Construction is expected to begin this summer.

The Academy is continuing to seek philanthropic support to build a facility endowment to ensure the Health Center’s medical equipment and furnishings are adequately maintained and replaced when needed. Please know that Naming Opportunities are still available in the Health Center. Perhaps you may wish to name a space for your family, a loved one or former teacher/coach?

Lastly, a video about the Health Center was produced for the April 30 Gala fundraiser (benefitting the Center). View the video here.
