LFA is thrilled to announce that world-renowned classic guitarist Marisa Sardo will be playing at The Cressey Center for the Arts on Thursday, Sept. 19 at 7 p.m.
Sardo has been awarded in over 20 international competitions and has emerged as one of today’s most exciting young artists to see perform live. Her unique programs include a variety of diverse music, including music from Europe, African music, music from South America, music written by women, world premieres, and music written for her.
Among her honors are recognition in the New York Laureate International Music Competition, the Twisted Spruce International Music Competition, the Grand Prize Virtuoso International Competition, performances in Amsterdam and Salzburg in the winner’s concert tour, the 2023 Tabula Rasa International Guitar Competition, the 2022 IYMC International Classical Music Competition, and the 2021 University of Memphis International Guitar Competition.
