Photo Galleries: Multicultural Celebration Day
Lake Forest Academy held its annual Multicultural Celebration Day and International Exhibition Fair on Wednesday as the school recognized contributions from its global community. The day takes place every year prior to Spring Break and features keynote speakers, workshops, and a performance.
Prior to Wednesday’s activities, the LFA community took to the stage in The Cressey Center for the Arts with the international talent show on Tuesday evening. Wednesday opened with guest speaker Cindu Thomas-George before students attended a variety of morning workshops.
LFA’s dining services staff provided a menu of dishes from Puerto Rico and Morocco for lunch before the international exhibition fair in Reid Hall allowed students to showcase their backgrounds and cultures. The afternoon concluded with the entire LFA community engaged with an interactive performance with the Chicago Capoeira Brasil group.
