Gonzalo Hagerman Sucar '19 was recently featured on NHL.com. The article, "Gonzalo Hagerman: Pursuing another dream after hockey" chronicles his hockey and personal journey from Western Mexico City to Lake Forest Academy.
Gonzalo has traveled the world representing his native Mexico. As an important member of the Mexican National Team, he has served in many capacities including as team captain. After his hockey career, Gonzalo plans on attending medical school.
In the article, Gonzalo says, "From hockey I learned the never-give-up mentality since you get tired of studying for three hours, but I have this self-discipline to go the extra mile. I implement that in medicine and it is the same passion for hockey."
