The girls varsity tennis team traveled to the Joliet West Invite on Sept. 14 that featured eight teams. The Caxys finished first overall as a team while Vivienne Wang ‘28 captured the individual title at the No. 1 singles position and Dora Huang ‘27 earned first place at the No. 2 singles position. Lindsay Farbman ‘26 and Liza Lewis ‘28 lost to the eventual winners at No. 1 doubles, but were victorious in the back draw, finishing fifth overall. Beatrice Franklin ‘27 and Madison Rosen ‘25 finished in first place at No. 2 doubles while Caroline Bierig ‘27 and Juliet Hausman ‘28 finished in fourth place at No. 3 doubles.
In addition to winning the eight-team event at Joliet West, the Caxys hold a 4-1 record in dual matches this season.
