Boys Golf

The boys golf program at Lake Forest Academy is a perennial Independent School League contender, regularly testing itself against the area's top competition. Playing a robust schedule of dual matches and tournaments, the team plays and practices just five minutes from campus at Deerpath Golf Course. The season culminates with a cherished, decades-long tradition: the Gerber Cup. In this three-day, Ryder Cup-style intrasquad event, teams are drafted, and teammates become rivals for ultimate bragging rights.

From the Coaching Staff: Golf is often thought of as an individual sport, but we strive to create a culture where students feel like they're a part of something bigger than themselves and leave the program with connections that last long after their time at LFA. The team's success is never measured by wins and losses but by the growth each player sees not only in their game but, most importantly, in their personal development – learning to be a great teammate, meeting moments of adversity with belief, and harnessing the power of a positive mindset.
