The Lake Forest Academy Music Department is dedicated to nurturing the musical potential of every student. We believe in the power of music to inspire, challenge, and enrich lives. Through both performance and education, we create an inclusive and supportive environment where students can develop their skills, express themselves, and grow as musicians.
Course Offerings
With a focus on instrumental and vocal performance, piano, music theory, and music production, our goal is to foster a collaborative and encouraging environment that allows students to express themselves and realize their potential as musicians. Whether you're a seasoned performer or a beginner, we offer opportunities for all students to perform in a variety of musical ensembles and explore their musical talents and passions.

VOX, the year-round musical theater group, is one of the most enjoyable parts of my LFA experience. As an upperclassman, I now set an example and even help pick the choreography and teach other students their parts. Everyone wants to see each other succeed.

Extracurricular Opportunities
Extracurricular offerings include Co-ax, our student-led rock band, Vox Vocal Ensemble, the winter musical pit orchestra, and our service-based chamber music club.
