Philosophy

Lake Forest Academy’s Fine & Performing Arts Department provides opportunities for students to discover and nurture their unique creative voice. Through dynamic curriculum and hands-on learning, we encourage students to take artistic risks to realize their full artistic potential. As a vital component of the Lake Forest Academy community, we support students as they examine how the arts can impact their lives and connect to their local and global communities.

Co-Curricular & Extracurricular Opportunities

Co-curricular and extracurricular offerings such as the fall play, winter musical, vocal and instrumental chamber ensembles, VOX, a cappella vocal ensembles, rock and jazz bands, spring theater fest, and music lessons provide additional performance opportunities for all LFA students, regardless of course enrollment.

The Arts Concentration Program

This program enables disciplined students with exceptional talent in the arts to further develop their skills through a combination of academic classes and focused work with Fine and Performing Arts faculty. LFA arts students who have already proven their ability and commitment to artistic growth are encouraged to improve their skills through in-depth, one-on-one instruction with fine arts faculty.
