Assistant Dean of Admission

What is your favorite thing to do in the area?
I enjoy taking my dogs to the local dog parks in the area. We have a pretty good selection of parks on the north shore. I can almost guarantee you that I’ve been to every possible dog park in the area at least once.

Adam Gerber

Senior Associate Dean of Admission, Director of International Admission

Where is your favorite spot on campus?
I have the honor of working in Reid Hall, the 100+-year-old mansion on campus, and I have the privilege of being able to walk to that building every morning. I usually enter the building through the Formal Gardens, and rarely am I not awestruck by the beauty of that walk.

What is a little known fact about you?
I worked as a news anchor at NBC for several years before I decided to follow my heart and become a full-time elementary school teacher. I come from a family of strong educators.

What House are you in? What is your favorite House Cup event?
Sargent! My favorite House Cup event is the annual February Frog Hunt. The whole month is a giant scavenger hunt that involves the whole community and takes place around campus and the Lake Forest area.

If you could have a superpower, what would it be? 
The ability to fly at supersonic speeds! This way I could go visit my family in Italy for dinner or my kids in college for a quick espresso break. I would bring my pups with me of course!
