Meaningful, Real-world Student Experiences
The Academy Fund makes it possible to offer deeply enriching academic experiences that take place outside the classroom--in Chicago and beyond. Last year, 14 AP Spanish students completed part of their final exam in rural Patacancha, Peru.
Faculty Professional Development
The Academy Fund supports professional development opportunities for our faculty, enabling them to bring innovation and best-practices into the classroom. English teacher Ann Frkovich's experience in Ghana has allowed her to create an inter-disciplinary senior elective, Literature of Rebellion and Social Change.
Financial Assistance
The Academy Fund helps support financial assistance to highly deserving and motivated students who might not otherwise be able to benefit from an LFA education, creating a dynamic learning experience for all Academy students.
