Natalie Schawel joined the English Department in 2015. She earned her B.A. from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in English Literature with a double minor in Education and Psychology. She is certified to teach both English and History at the secondary level. She is currently pursuing her M.A. in Writing, Rhetoric, and Discourse at DePaul University. Before coming to LFA, she taught at McHenry High School. Her experience in teaching also includes teaching English in Spain. Her fervent love for traveling has taken her to twelve countries on three continents (and counting!). At LFA, Ms. Schawel teaches English 10 and 11 in addition to coaching both Boys’ and Girls’ Swimming. Her residential duty is working in the Writing Center.
Loring Strudwick | profile
Loring Strudwick has a BS in mathematics from St. Lawrence University and an MST in mathematics from University of New Hampshire. She was a member of the math department, a swim, waterpolo, and track coach, and a dorm parent at Phillips Academy for 17 years before coming to LFA in 2001. She currently teaches calculus and Advanced Algebra/Precalculus at LFA and coaches swimming. She and husband John live on campus in Wood House.
